Step 1: Under Assignments, click “+ Assignment”

Step 2: Add an Assignment Name and Description

Step 3: Enter the total points the assignment is worth. 

Step 4: Under “Submission Type,” select “External Tool,” then in “Enter or find an external tool,” paste the LTI link given to you by Weave. You do not need to click Find – it will locate the tool automatically once you paste it in the text box. 

Note: Select “Load This Tool in a New Tab”, “Submission Attempts, select “Unlimited” and then click “Save”. 

Step 5: The final step is to click on the resulting assignment and QA your assignment. If your assignment includes a file upload, students will be uploading their assignment via this link, and you will be grading their assignments in this same link.

Tips to remember:

• Add a total point value to the assignment
• Ensure the assignment allows unlimited attempts – the attempts will still be limited on the Weave Analytics side.
