Change Requests

  1. When the employee sponsor submits the form for their spouse/dependent, an update should be pushed to the banner record of both the dependent and employee sponsor.
    1. Dependent Banner Record:
      1. Push ICTRSD to RRAAREQ in a U status.
      2. Push an update to SPAIDEN (Additional Identification tab) and insert ID type code "TUI". Add the employee sponsors banner ID number to the Additional Identification field next to the TUI type code. If a record already exists here, replace it with the current ID.
    2. Employee Banner Record:
      1. Push an update to RHACOMM and insert the same aid year as indicated on the form. The category code should be TREM. The note should read "Employee submitted Spouse/Dependent Tuition Remission application for >dependent ID number< <dependent full name>. If it is not possible (or overly complex) to dynamically populate RHACOMM with the dependent information, a note indicating they have submitted an application is fine. Alternatively, we could work with IT to create a secondary type code for SPAIDEN and insert it there. Rachael just needs a simple way to check the employee record when they exit Regent to see if they have a dependent TR recipient being sponsored.

Note: Many employees do not know or correctly enter Banner ID numbers. We need to accurately identify the dependent record where the form will be pushed. Perhaps using the dependent's Regent email as a secondary lookup would be prudent. If it fails to find an actual student record, it needs to be routed to faforms for manual intake.

Testing Notes

03/05/2024 by Rachael Moser

  • The Spouse/Dependent section fills out with the employee name. The employee is the one who submits this form for their spouse, so the employee (not the student) is the one signed in (see screenshot)
  • The enrollment plans sections allows for non-numeric characters to be entered. This field is meant to only hold text.
  • Form scales beautifully on a mobile device!
