Purpose: A place for notes, change requests, etc. for the Loan Adjustment Form.

Notes

  1. Alaric said that LU has an option on loan adjustment forms for students to select “no refund.” This would alleviate frustrations when a student requests an adjustment that we have to process in gross and leaves a few dollars on the account.
  2. Is it possible to turn off subsequent LADJs for students until their first request is reviewed? This question was raised in Huddle – students will submit multiple in a row, thinking it is an automated review. Often, they submit several conflicting requests within a matter of minutes, making it difficult to interpret their actual wishes.
    1. I would prefer not to block students from submitting a new request if they submitted one with an error. Instead, we can display to the student what their currently accepted/declined loans are, and have an automated message + progress that tells them previous requests in queue will be disregarded if a new request is made. -RM
  3. Add a section where the student can include a note to processing telling us what they are trying to request. Sometimes what the student clicks on the form isn't quite exactly what the student is wanting and having a space for them to explain their desire would be helpful.

  • I (Rachael) would very much like an option where the student can check a box telling us they want us to accept loans "To cover my net account balance and no more each semester" or "To cover my net account balance and provide $500 for books" or (last option) a customized amount. We would need algorithmic packaging in place for this so that the loans could continually be adjusted as needed.
